These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TWB service, including:

The Website and the App are collectively referred to as the "Service".

The Service is operated by Little Owl Media S.R.L., a company registered in Romania, with its registered office at Str. Nicopole 65, 500063 Brașov, Romania ("TWB", "we", "us", "our"). TWB is a travel-dating community for adults.

By accessing the Website, downloading or using the App, or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Definitions

  • "TWB", "we", "us", "our" — Little Owl Media S.R.L.
  • "Service" — the Website and the App together
  • "Website" — www.tripswithbenefits.com and any subdomain
  • "App" — the TWB mobile application for iOS and Android
  • "Visitor" — any person browsing the Website without an account
  • "Member" — any person with a registered account in the App
  • "You", "your" — a Visitor or Member, depending on context
  • "Content" — text, images, videos, audio, and any other material you submit through the Service
  • "TWB Content" — the design, code, logos, text, and other materials we own and make available through the Service

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. The Service is not intended for minors. By using the Service, you confirm that you are 18 or older and legally able to enter into a binding agreement.

The Service may not be available in certain jurisdictions. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with the laws of your country of residence.

You may not use the Service if you have previously been banned by TWB or if you are listed on any government sanctions list applicable to TWB.

3. Acceptance and changes to these Terms

By using the Service, you accept these Terms. We may update them from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email (for Members) and posted on the Website with the date of the last update. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

If you do not accept the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and may close your account.

4. Account creation and verification

4.1 Creating an account

To use most features of the Service, you must create an account in the App. You may sign up using a phone number or email address. We use a passwordless one-time code system, sent by email or SMS.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and to keep it updated.

4.2 One account per person

Each person may hold only one active account. Creating multiple accounts, sharing your account with another person, or accessing another Member's account without their permission is prohibited.

4.3 Verification

TWB uses a liveness verification process to confirm that profiles are operated by real, human adults. As part of this process, you may be asked to submit two photos performing predefined gestures, which are reviewed by our moderation team and stored securely. We may require any Member to complete or repeat verification at any time at our discretion.

The verification process involves processing of biometric-like data (photos of your face). This processing is explained in our Privacy Policy and is required to maintain trust on the Service.

4.4 Account security

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential. Notify us immediately at security@tripswithbenefits.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. Permitted use of the Service

You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes consistent with these Terms. This includes:

  • browsing other Members' profiles
  • communicating with Members through the App's messaging features
  • sharing your travel plans and destinations
  • planning meetings or trips with other Members
  • subscribing to and managing paid memberships

6. Prohibited use

You may not, and you may not permit others to:

6.1 Illegal or harmful conduct

  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • use the Service to solicit, facilitate, or engage in prostitution, escort services, or any form of human trafficking
  • use the Service to solicit or sell sexual services or content (including content sold elsewhere)
  • harass, threaten, defame, or intimidate other Members
  • promote violence, hatred, terrorism, or discrimination
  • impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity, age, or any material fact
  • engage in any activity that could harm a minor

6.2 Commercial misuse

  • use the Service for commercial purposes, including advertising, promotion, or solicitation of any product or service
  • collect, scrape, or harvest data about other Members
  • send unsolicited messages or spam
  • conduct surveys, contests, or pyramid schemes through the Service

6.3 Technical misuse

  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other Members' accounts, or any related systems
  • reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code from the App
  • bypass any technical limitation, paywall, or moderation system
  • introduce malware, viruses, or any disruptive code
  • use bots, automated scripts, or any automated means to interact with the Service
  • interfere with the normal operation of the Service or other Members' use of it

6.4 Content misuse

  • upload content you don't own or have permission to share
  • upload content that contains pornography, full nudity, sexual acts, or sexual solicitation
  • upload content depicting minors in any context other than incidentally and innocuously
  • upload content depicting violence, weapons, drug use, or illegal activity
  • upload content containing personal information of others (phone numbers, addresses, etc.) without their consent
  • upload content containing logos, watermarks, or references to commercial websites

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms, without prior notice.

7. Member-generated content

7.1 Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for the Content you submit, post, or share through the Service. You confirm that you have all necessary rights to do so and that your Content does not infringe on the rights of others.

7.2 License to TWB

By submitting Content through the Service, you grant TWB a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish, and display your Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

This license terminates when you remove the Content or when your account is closed, except for: (a) Content shared with other Members who have already received or stored it; (b) backup or archival copies retained as required by law or for legal defense.

7.3 Profile photos

Profile photos must:

  • be of you (not someone else, not an animal, not an object, not an AI-generated image)
  • be of sufficient resolution and lighting for moderation review
  • not contain pornography, nudity, watermarks, contact information, or commercial advertising
  • not contain depictions of weapons, drugs, or illegal activity

We review every profile photo manually before it becomes visible to other Members. Approval typically takes less than 24 hours.

7.4 Private photos

The Service allows Members to share certain photos privately with selected Members. Private photos remain hidden until the owner explicitly approves access.

Important: Once you share a private photo with another Member, you cannot prevent them from saving it. Share carefully.

7.5 Communications

Communications between Members through the Service must be respectful and consistent with these Terms. We may review reported communications to investigate potential violations.

8. Moderation, reporting, and blocking

8.1 Reporting

You may report any Member, message, or piece of Content that violates these Terms using the "Report" feature in the App. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team, typically within 24 hours.

8.2 Blocking

You may block any Member at any time. Once blocked, the Member can no longer send you messages, view your profile, or interact with you on the Service.

8.3 Our moderation actions

We may, at our discretion and without prior notice:

  • remove Content that violates these Terms
  • warn, suspend, or permanently ban accounts
  • reject verification submissions that fail to meet our standards
  • review reported communications and account activity for compliance

We strive to apply moderation consistently and fairly, but we do not guarantee that all violations will be detected or acted upon immediately.

8.4 Zero tolerance

Certain violations result in immediate and permanent termination without warning:

  • promotion of escort or prostitution services
  • harassment of other Members
  • impersonation
  • attempting to defraud other Members
  • sharing illegal content
  • any conduct that endangers a minor

9. Memberships and payments

9.1 Membership tiers

TWB offers three membership tiers:

  • Economy — free
  • Business — paid
  • First Class — paid

Features and limits of each tier are described in the App. We may modify the features included in each tier from time to time.

9.2 Payment methods

Paid memberships are purchased through:

  • Apple In-App Purchase (iOS App)
  • Google Play Billing (Android App)

Pricing is displayed in your local currency in the App. Prices may vary by country, plan duration, and promotional offers.

9.3 Auto-renewal

Paid memberships renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. Your payment method will be charged for the renewal at the then-current price.

9.4 Cancellation

You can cancel auto-renewal at any time:

  • iOS: through your Apple ID Subscriptions settings
  • Android: through your Google Play account Subscriptions settings

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access to your paid features until then.

9.5 TWB Miles

TWB Miles are virtual credits used within the App for specific one-time features (such as profile boosts and additional discoveries). TWB Miles:

  • have no monetary value outside the Service
  • are non-refundable and non-transferable
  • cannot be exchanged for cash or any other consideration
  • are forfeited if your account is terminated for violating these Terms
  • may expire if your account is inactive for an extended period (as specified in the App)

9.6 Refunds

All purchases are made through Apple or Google, who act as the seller of record. Refund requests must be addressed to them directly:

TWB does not process refunds directly and cannot grant refunds for:

  • TWB Miles or other consumable in-app items already credited
  • Account terminations resulting from Terms violations
  • Time remaining on a subscription after voluntary deletion of the account

9.7 Price changes

We may change the price of memberships and in-app items at any time. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price increase takes effect on their next renewal. If you don't accept the new price, you can cancel before the renewal.

9.8 Promotional offers

We may offer free trials, discounts, or complimentary upgrades at our discretion. Promotional offers may be revoked, limited, or modified at any time.

10. Newsletter and communications from us

If you subscribe to our newsletter via the Website, we use a double opt-in process. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in each newsletter.

As a Member of the App, you will receive transactional communications related to your account (verification codes, payment receipts, security alerts, important policy updates). These cannot be opted out of while your account is active.

You can manage non-essential notifications (matches, messages, promotions) in your App notification settings.

11. Cookies and tracking

The Website uses essential cookies required for basic operation (language preference, security tokens). We do not use advertising cookies. The App uses identifiers (such as Apple's Identifier for Vendors and Google's Advertising ID) only as needed for app functionality, in accordance with Apple and Google policies.

12. Intellectual property

12.1 TWB Content

All TWB Content is owned by Little Owl Media S.R.L. or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from TWB Content without our written permission, except as expressly permitted by these Terms.

12.2 Trademarks

"TWB", "TripsWithBenefits", "Trips With Benefits", and the TWB logo are trademarks of Little Owl Media S.R.L. You may not use them without prior written permission.

12.3 Feedback

If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us the right to use them freely without any obligation to you.

13. Account suspension and termination

13.1 By you

You may close your account at any time through the App's account settings, or by emailing us. Closing your account:

  • removes your profile from the Service
  • ends your access to any paid features at the end of the current billing period (no refund for unused time)
  • forfeits any remaining TWB Miles

We retain some information after account closure as required by law or for legal defense (see Privacy Policy).

13.2 By us

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if:

  • you violate these Terms
  • your conduct creates risk for other Members, TWB, or third parties
  • required by law, court order, or government request
  • your account remains inactive for an extended period
  • continuing to provide service to you would not be commercially reasonable

If we terminate your account for a Terms violation, you forfeit any remaining paid time and TWB Miles, with no refund.

13.3 Effect of termination

Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) survive termination of your account.

14. Availability and modifications to the Service

We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend, restrict, or discontinue features at any time for maintenance, security, legal, or operational reasons.

We may add new features, modify existing features, or retire features at our discretion. We will give reasonable advance notice for material changes affecting paid features.

15. Disclaimers

15.1 "As is" basis

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, regarding:

  • continuous, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation
  • accuracy or completeness of any information
  • results obtained from using the Service
  • the conduct, identity, or intentions of other Members
  • compatibility with your device, software, or carrier

15.2 We are not a matchmaking service

TWB provides a platform for adults to meet through shared travel interests. We do not:

  • guarantee that you will find a match, friend, or travel partner
  • verify the truthfulness of every statement a Member makes about themselves
  • screen Members for criminal background (unless required by law in specific jurisdictions)
  • vouch for the safety of meetings arranged between Members

You meet other Members at your own risk. Always exercise common sense, meet in public places initially, and never share financial or sensitive personal information with someone you have just met.

15.3 Travel is your responsibility

TWB does not organize trips, book accommodations, or provide travel services. Travel plans you make with other Members are your own responsibility. You are responsible for visas, insurance, vaccinations, and compliance with local laws at your destination.

15.4 No professional advice

Information available through the Service is for general purposes only and does not constitute legal, financial, medical, psychological, or other professional advice.

16. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Little Owl Media S.R.L. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including (but not limited to) damages for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from or related to:

  • your use of, or inability to use, the Service
  • the conduct or content of other Members
  • meetings, communications, or transactions between Members
  • unauthorized access to your account or your data
  • any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in the Service

Our total cumulative liability to you, for all claims combined, shall not exceed the greater of:

  • €100 (one hundred euros), or
  • the total amount you paid to us for paid memberships in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by our negligence
  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Little Owl Media S.R.L., its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from any claim, liability, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • your breach of these Terms
  • your unlawful use of the Service
  • your interactions with other Members
  • your violation of any third party's rights
  • your Content

18. EU consumer rights

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you have certain rights that cannot be waived by these Terms.

18.1 Refunds and statutory withdrawal

All paid memberships and in-app items are purchased through Apple's App Store or Google Play, which act as the seller of record. Any refund request, including any statutory right of withdrawal under EU consumer law, must be addressed directly to Apple or Google in accordance with their respective policies (see Section 9.6).

TWB does not sell paid services directly to consumers and cannot process refunds for app store purchases.

18.2 Online Dispute Resolution

You may use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

18.3 Mandatory rights

None of the limitations in these Terms affect your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable EU law.

19. Apple-specific terms (iOS users)

If you download the App from the Apple App Store, the following terms apply between you and Apple Inc. ("Apple"):

19.1 Parties

These Terms are between you and TWB only. Apple is not a party to these Terms.

19.2 Scope of license

The license granted to you for the App is limited to a non-transferable license to use the App on any Apple-branded device you own or control, in accordance with the Usage Rules of the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

19.3 Maintenance and support

TWB is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support for the App. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support.

19.4 Warranty

In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, who will refund the purchase price of the App, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.

19.5 Product claims

TWB, not Apple, is responsible for addressing claims relating to the App, including:

  • product liability claims
  • claims that the App fails to conform to legal requirements
  • claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation

19.6 Intellectual property claims

In the event of a third-party claim that the App infringes intellectual property rights, TWB will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.

19.7 Legal compliance

You represent and warrant that:

  • you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country
  • you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties

19.8 Third-party beneficiary

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

20. Google Play-specific terms (Android users)

If you download the App from the Google Play Store, your use of the App is also governed by the Google Play Terms of Service.

Google is not a party to these Terms and has no responsibility for the App, its content, or any claims arising from it. Refund requests for Google Play purchases are handled in accordance with Google Play's refund policy.

21. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Brașov, Romania, subject to mandatory consumer protection provisions in your country of residence within the European Union.

Before initiating formal proceedings, we strongly encourage you to contact us so we can attempt to resolve the matter amicably.

Notices to you may be sent to the email address associated with your account or by posting in the App. You agree to receive electronic notices from us.

23. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Little Owl Media S.R.L. regarding the Service. They supersede any prior agreements relating to the Service.

Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision.

24. Assignment

You may not assign these Terms or any rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of substantially all our assets.

25. Language

These Terms are made available in multiple languages. The English version is the canonical version and prevails in case of any discrepancy or conflict with translations.
